CyrusOne is a data center owner, operator, and developer that manages more than 50 facilities, with its footprint concentrated in the U.S. and Europe. The company is based in Dallas and was taken private in March 2022 by funds managed by KKR and Global Infrastructure Partners in a transaction valued at approximately 15 billion dollars including debt.

Its portfolio centers on hyperscale and enterprise colocation across multi-building campuses. CyrusOne has also pursued international growth initiatives alongside its core North American and European markets.

CyrusOne History:

CyrusOne invested $79.8 million to retrofit an existing building in Richardson, Texas, transforming it into their new DFW6 data center.

Located in Slough, one of the UK’s premier data center locations, CyrusOne London I delivers 9MW of IT power to 4,300 sq m of technical space.

CyrusOne is set to expand its presence in the greater London area with a new, sixth data center campus in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire.

CyrusOne's AMS1 offers 29,720 sqm (320,000 sq ft) of technical space across a campus of two separate buildings. The campus is located on SADC’s PolanenPark campus, around 15 kilometers west of central Amsterdam.

CyrusOne is building a huge data center campus on 228 acres in Kendall County outside of Chicago, Illinois. The data center campus will have up to nine (9) two-story buildings and a centralized 800,000-square-foot electric substation.

The CyrusOne DFW10 data center, currently under construction in Bosque County, Texas, is a major hyperscale campus specifically engineered to meet the demands of AI-driven workloads.

CyrusOne is planning a significant expansion in southern Illinois, proposing a $500 million data center campus in Talkington Township, roughly 14 miles southwest of Springfield.

The project will have three phases. The first phase of CyrusOne's planned Allen data center would be 350,950 square feet. Two additional phases would add a 619,100 square foot and a 412,800 sqft building.

DFW17 is a $375 million development, with construction due to run from October 2025 until December 2026. The single-story facility will span 88,875 sq ft (8,257 sqm).

CyrusOne is planning to develop a new 88,874-square-foot data center facility in Bosque County, Texas.

The US Navy, energy solutions provider Ameresco, and data center developer CyrusOne have partnered to develop a massive AI-optimized data center at Naval Air Station (NAS) Lemoore in California.

CyrusOne is developing a pair of new data centers in Aurora, Illinois, a project that will also include the construction of three 350-foot telecommunication towers.

CyrusOne’s MAD1, finished in 2023, is a located in the municipality of Alcobendas. The data center will ultimately deliver 6,000 sq m (64,584 sq ft) of world-class technical space within a two-story building.

Also known as the Austin Met Center. CyrusOne has announced that this facility will close. Customers will be moved to other CyrusOne sites in Austin.

CyrusOne plans to develop a new campus on 62 acres on the corner of Elliot and Ellsworth Roads.

CyrusOne has broken ground on its MIL1 data center at Via Reggio Emilia, 39, Segrate (Milan), Italy, a 27MW, three-storey facility delivering approximately 7,000 sqm (75,345 sq ft) of technical space. Construction began in March 2026, with the first 9MW phase expected online by Q3 2027, followed by phased expansion to full capacity.

In 2016, CyrusOne acquired the CME data center for $130 million. CME hosts its electronic trading platform CME Globex on site. Globex will continue to be hosted on site as part of the 15-year lease agreement between CyrusOne and CME.

CyrusOne operates its fifth data center campus in San Antonio, a facility comprising two buildings with a total of 276,000 square feet of space.

CyrusOne acquired this 45-acre plot of land in Quincy in 2016, and started construction in early 2023.

The NVA7 building is conveniently located only 8 miles away from Dulles International Airport, 35 miles from Washington National Airport, and is close to a variety of hotels and restaurants.

The DFW4 shell & uplift project involves the company investing $31.5 million in a new single-story data center with a two-story office component. The facility measures 126,000 sq ft (11,700 sqm).

CyrusOne has broken ground on its fifth data center in Frankfurt, FRA5. FRA5 is located in Hanau, 25km east of Frankfurt's city center.
The facility will span 18,000 sqm (193,750 sq ft) across two buildings.

CyrusOne's AUS3 data center is projected to be the company's largest facility in Austin, spanning 172,000 total square feet, which includes 120,000 square feet of colocation space (CSF) and over 25,000 square feet of Class A office space.

Dubbed DFW7, the project will encompass 1.9 million square feet and feature multiple buildings.

Located near CyrusOne’s first San Antonio facility, the new site will have up to 196,000 colocation square feet (CSF) and 20,000 sq. ft. of superior Class A office space that can be used by customers.

Phase 1 is 50,000 gross sqft at full build out the facility will have 330,00 gross sqft. The total building's sqft is 430,000sqft and sits on 22.5 acres
