DataBank

DataBank is a data center developer and operator that provides colocation, interconnection, cloud and managed services. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Dallas, the company expanded its footprint through acquisitions and new builds.

Following the December 2020 close of its purchase of zColo assets from Zayo, DataBank reported operating 60 data centers across 28 markets in the U.S. and the U.K. In October 2024, DataBank announced an approximately $2.0 billion equity raise led by AustralianSuper to support new campuses in Dallas, Culpeper and Atlanta.

The "Sterling Building" in Cleveland's Theater District is a tech-focused office building, the structure dates from 1909 and once was the home of the old Sterling Lindner department store.

Databank expanded its Plano data center campus (DFW3) with a $280 million, 265,000sqft three-story building.

DataBank's Lithia Springs Campus spans 95 acres and will accommodate two multi-story data centers, offering up to 1 million gross square feet (92,900 sqm) of space.

DataBank’s Downtown Salt Lake City data center is a multi-tenant colocation facility located in the heart of the downtown business district. The site is the primary carrier-hotel for the Salt Lake City area and is highly populated with a number of prominent Tier-1 and Tier-2 network providers which enter the building through multiple diverse points.

The site was formerly operated by C7 before the Databank acquisition.

DataBank's 400 South Akard is a seven-story property built in 1921 to house the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. In 2000 the building was renovated as a datacenter, taking advantage of security features from its use as a banking facility.

This new facility includes 110,000 square feet (10,219 sqm) of raised floor space, distributed across five data halls, and offers connectivity through five on-site carriers.

The site at 6900 South Peoria Street in Centennial, CO is air-containment optimized and has a reflective white roof that prevents solar heat from entering the building. Inside, energy efficient “green” cooling solutions are engineered to achieve an industry-leading PUE of 1.3.

DataBank and Goodman Group’s LAX2 project is a 32MW AI-ready data center in Vernon, California, developed through a 50/50 joint venture at 3094 E. Vernon Avenue, with 140,417 raised square feet and phased delivery beginning with 6MW in December 2026 and the balance through September 2027.

The DataBank site is part of the CODA development, a 645,000 sqft mixed-use office complex, currently under construction in Georgia Tech’s Technology Square.

DataBank has acquired 85 acres of land in Culpeper, Virginia, for a new data center campus. The new Culpeper Campus will host two two-story data centers.

IAD6 will be the first data center constructed on DataBank’s new Culpeper campus in the Northern Virginia market.; it will offer 383,220 raised square feet of space.

DataBank’s Pine Ridge data center is located in the technology-rich South Kansas City suburb of Overland Park. The site houses DataBank’s primary Network Operations Center (NOC) and operational support teams. With more than 12,000 sqft of raised-floor data center space, the facility houses three independent data halls and direct connectivity to multiple top-tier carriers.

he facility has access to more than 8MW of high-density power, and redundant cooling systems maintain optimal temperatures for data center equipment. Situated in a highly secure technology park, the facility is protected by a full perimeter fence encompassing the building, parking areas, loading docks, and all customer entrances.

DataBank is planning a $256 million data center project in Red Oak, Ellis County, Texas. The facility, named DFW9, will be located on Stainback Road and cover over 425,000 sq ft (40,000 sqm).

DataBank's ATL4 is a single-tenant data center located less than 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta. The site is backed by an adjacent Georgia Power substation and features 156,780 raised sqft.

The expansion of the MCI3 data center in Lenexa, Kansas is now complete and offers an additional 17,000 square feet of raised flooring.

DataBank’s Felltham data center offers over 2,400 square meters (26,000 sq. ft.) of data center colocation space. The site also features an N+1 power design and access to 6 on-site network providers.

DataBank’s Granite Point West Data Center is strategically located in Bluffdale, UT, minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. With a carrier-neutral design, the 95,000 sqft building has over 55,000 sqft of raised-floor space for customer equipment and offers network connectivity to multiple Tier 1 and Tier 2 providers. Diverse substations provide more than 11MW of high-density power, while redundant cooling systems maintain optimal temperatures for data center equipment.

At full build the site will offer up to 640,000 square feet of data center shell with 450,000sqft of raised floor. The first phase is approximately 320,000 square feet of shell.

DataBank’s South Lake facility is situated in the technology-rich, South Kansas City suburb of Lenexa, providing direct, on-site connectivity to several Tier 1 carriers.

Powered by two separate substations with on-site, diesel-powered generators for backup, the data center includes 6,000+ sqft of space for customer equipment and advanced cooling technology to ensure optimal operating temperatures.
