SAMX Data LLC, a Northern Virginia-based real estate development company led by Co-Managing members Peter Mallios and David Hall, submitted an application in October 2023 to rezone approximately 55.26 acres of property at 11825 Remington Road. The proposal seeks to change the zoning from Agriculture (RA) to Business Park (BP).

  • According to the applicant's plan, the SAMX development would comprise two three-story buildings, each standing roughly 45 feet tall and ranging from 300,000 to 350,000 square feet. The total square footage of all buildings in the SAMX Data Center is estimated at 1 million square feet, with the total construction value of the buildings projected to be nearly $1 billion upon completion.
  • The site, currently owned by Superfood Farms LLC, is strategically located adjacent to the Remington Technology Park and Remington Substation property within the Remington Service District.
