Site History

In March 2018, Alberta-based PointOne Holdings Inc. received approval to rezone 234 acres on Lucky Hill Road, Remington, for a data center project. The plan included up to six data centers totaling 1.5-1.8 million square feet and an onsite substation. PointOne purchased the property for $7 million in April 2018, aiming to start the $1 billion-plus project that year with five partner firms. President Colin Clish projected a 5-7 year buildout, with the first building expected by late 2019. However, despite being"shovel-ready," the construction has not begun on schedule.
