Residents of Prince William County, Virginia, are attempting to sell their land to an unidentified data center developer. According to InsideNoVa, residents of Sanders Lane near Gainesville are attempting to sell their land to a data center developer. The residents appear to be attempting to replicate the efforts of nearby Pageland Lane landowners, who banded together to sell over 2,000 acres to QTS and Compass for an enormous new data center development.
InsideNoVa was able to obtain an email from the Catharpin Committee, a neighborhood group coordinating the assemblage effort, informing neighbors this week that the group has garnered substantial encouragement from residents, met with a potential buyer several times, and is exploring options to buy the property. Supervisor of Gainesville Bob Weir confirmed that a collection endeavor is underway on Sanders Lane. The prospective buyer's identity has not been disclosed. At this time, specifics regarding the available parcels and total acreage are unknown.
