Mapletree Industrial Trust has acquired a 98.47 percent stake in a Tokyo mixed-use property through a JPY14.5 billion ($99.5 million) deal with Nagayama Tokutei Mokuteki Kaisha. The facility, located in West Tokyo's Tama-shi area, includes a data center, back office space, training facilities, and accommodation.
The property spans 319,300 square feet (29,664 square meters) across multiple stories and sits on a 91,200-square-foot (8,470-square-meter) plot. Currently fully leased to an unnamed major Japanese conglomerate with approximately five years remaining on the lease, the facility's position in West Tokyo's data center hub presents potential future redevelopment opportunities for expanded data center operations.
