Iron Mountain has commenced construction on its inaugural Miami-Dade County data center, MIA-1. Located in Miami's District 12 on a 3.4-acre site, the 150,000 sq ft (13,935 sqm) facility is slated to operate on 100 percent carbon-free energy upon its 2026 launch. The project, initially announced in November 2023, involves converting the company's former record storage facility.

Update: In September 2025, Iron Mountain topped out its first data center in Miami, Florida.

Iron Mountain Data Centers is the data center business of Iron Mountain Incorporated and operates sites in the United States and Europe, with an India platform built through its partnership with Web Werks. In January 2018 it closed the acquisition of IO Data Centers, adding facilities in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona, Edison, New Jersey, and Columbus, Ohio. In May 2018 it acquired EvoSwitch Netherlands, expanding into the Amsterdam market, and in 2019 it added capacity in Amsterdam and London. In India, Iron Mountain formed a joint venture with Web Werks in 2021 and in April 2025 it announced full ownership and a rebrand to Iron Mountain Data Centers India. Iron Mountain Incorporated was founded in 1951.
