In 2024, RadiusDC revealed its purchase of Miami I, a highly connected data center in the South Florida region, situated in Sweetwater, Florida. The facility was acquired from NextStream, a Latin American data center company under Actis ownership.

  • The site was formerly managed by Telefonica until Nabiax acquired it in 2020. On 13 June 2023, Nabiax sold its American-based data centers to the investment fund Actis.

Miami I consists of a two-floor structure offering 173,500 square feet of data center capacity, engineered to endure Category 5 hurricane-force winds. Backed by IPI, RadiusDC intends to promptly enhance Miami I's capabilities through additional investment. The first stage of upgrades is projected to conclude in the opening half of 2026.

Originally built for Telefónica's own uses, the telco sold a majority stake in its Latin American and US data centers to investment firm Asterion in 2019. Asterion then founded new operator Nabiax from the portfolio, with Telefónica as an anchor customer. Actis then acquired Nabiax’s Latin American data center footprint in 2023, taking over 11 data centers across six countries in Latin America and the US, and renaming the unit Nextstream.
