Real estate development firm Eight Form has withdrawn its proposal to build a data center in El Segundo, California.

The project aimed to demolish an existing Hyatt Place hotel to construct a five-story, 230,780-square-foot facility. However, local residents strongly opposed the project during a July 9, 2026, planning commission meeting due to concerns about noise, utility usage, and location suitability. In response, Eight Form founder Arjun Shokeen officially withdrew the application.
