Vantage's second data center in Switzerland is located north of Zurich's city center in Glattfelden. Set on 3 acres, the two-story facility offers a total of 226,000 square feet (21,000 sq m) of space. The company reportedly invested more than CHF 370 million ($405 million) in the project.
Vantage installed air-source (ASHP) and water-source (WSHP) heat pumps within ZRH2 that will convert waste heat for use in administrative spaces. ZRH2 will also provide waste heat to a nearby hotel and seminar center. The site will leverage rainwater infiltration and a green roof to minimize environmental impacts. It will feature a unique wood-finished facade.
