NEXTDC is investing AU$2 billion (US$1.29bn) to construct its new M4 Melbourne facility in Port Melbourne. This Tier IV data center will encompass 50,000 square meters and include an AI Factory.

This specialized, liquid-cooled section is designed to support sovereign AI initiatives, offering extreme rack densities exceeding 1,000kW, and ready for NVIDIA Blackwell and Rubin Ultra GPUs.

NextDC acquired the land in Melbourne back in 2023.
