In 2022, NextDC launched M3, the company's third data center in Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria, Australia. The facility is located in West Footscray, about 10km west of Melbourne's Central Business District. At full buildout, the site will offer 41,000 sqm (441,300 sq ft) of technical space across 41 data halls – a space capable of housing up to 23,000 racks. Phase one was completed in 2023.
