Global Switch

Founded in 1998, Global Switch is an owner, operator and developer of large scale network dense, carrier and cloud neutral multi-tenanted data centers in Europe and Asia-Pacific.

In 2018, a consortium of Chinese investors called Elegant Jubilee took control of the company. Elegant Jubilee was formed by Li Qiang, a major shareholder in Chinese data center company Daily-Tech Beijing. The group’s biggest investor is the Jiangsu Sha Steel Group, the largest privately-owned steelmaker in China.

Global Switch Locations

Located adjacent to Global Switch's existing Amsterdam West data center, Amsterdam East expands the campus by offering 32,000 sq m of space with technical suites to accommodate high-performance computing needs.

Global Switch plans for the construction of a new data center in London Docklands. The new five-floor 290,625sqft data center, known as London South, will expand Global Switch’s London site.

Global Switch's Frankfurt campus – comprising two data centers – Frankfurt North (launched in 2019) and Frankfurt South, is located close to the financial district, city center, and Frankfurt International Airport, which is just 15 minutes away by car.

Global Switch Amsterdam is located in the Slotevaart/Overtoomseveld district, adjacent to the main Dutch cable infrastructure. The site is 2km from the financial district and city center.
