NTT Data operates the environments and supplies the AI and data center services. Cisco and Nvidia provide the underlying technology, packaged as the Cisco Secure AI Factory with Nvidia platform. NTT Data describes the AI Factories as hands-on settings where organizations determine how priority AI use cases are deployed, secured, governed and operated at scale. Customers evaluate AI workloads against real-world requirements such as infrastructure architecture, performance, workload placement and cost.
NTT Data says the four environments complement the AI Factory Munich, which opened on October 7 in NTT Global Data Centers' Munich 2 site. w.media reports that Munich 2 holds 6,300 square meters of data center space across two buildings and a 14MW critical IT load. NTT Data says the Munich environment lets organizations test AI they own and control against their own use cases before committing to investment.
"AI at scale is ultimately about turning intelligence into measurable business impact," said Dilip Kumar, president and global head of infrastructure solutions at NTT Data. Kumar said organizations must balance innovation with responsibility and make informed choices about where AI creates value. "Cisco Secure AI Factory with Nvidia, combined with NTT Data's global presence and expertise, gives organizations a strong foundation for moving AI workloads from experimentation into successful production," said Cassie Roach, global vice president of AI infrastructure and connectivity partner sales at Cisco.
Data Centre Magazine reports that the five AI Factories span three continents. NTT Data says the environments demonstrate use cases in employee productivity, customer experience, intelligent operations, cybersecurity, networking, software development and industry-specific business processes. Engagements include discovery workshops, technical deep dives, proof-of-concept planning and solution design.
