U.S. data center company Rowan Digital Infrastructure has started construction on its Cinco data center campus, a hyperscale project located near San Antonio, Texas. The 440-acre site in Medina County is powered by utility AEP and is expected to be fully operational by 2027.

The initial phase, which will include one building, is set to be available in early 2026. Renderings of the campus suggest it could eventually have seven buildings.

The $900 million Cinco project is "tailored to the long-term needs of a top five U.S. technology company.

Rowan Digital Infrastructure is a US data center developer that designs and delivers hyperscale campuses for large cloud and AI customers. The company is part of Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners and began in 2020 as a joint venture with Birch Infrastructure, and has been referred to as Rowan Green Data.

Its current US pipeline includes three campuses at the Quantum Frederick park in Maryland, the Cinco campus near San Antonio, Texas, a site in Temple, Texas, and the Percheron campus in Oregon. Verified capacity figures include a 300 MW Percheron plan in Morrow County, Oregon, and a 300 MW Cinco campus in Medina County, Texas.
