US-based operator Prime Data Centers has announced plans for a significant expansion into Finland, targeting a 12-hectare site in the Vähänummi industrial area of Järvenpää. In collaboration with Nordic investor Brunswick Real Estate, the company intends to invest approximately €1.8 billion ($2bn) to develop an AI-ready facility situated about 40km outside Helsinki.

The project, which is expected to begin construction in 2027 following environmental assessments, prioritizes sustainability through a proposed waste heat recovery system designed to integrate with the local district heating network.
