Keel Infrastructure (formerly Bitfarms Ltd.) has significantly expanded its U.S. digital infrastructure footprint with the ongoing development of its data center campus in Sharon, Pennsylvania, marking a structural pivot from pure-play Bitcoin mining toward high-density AI workloads.

The project traces back to the company's initial site entry announcement in June 2024, followed by the formal acquisition of the 18-acre Clark Street site (the historic Westinghouse Electric transformer plant) in October 2025.

While the site currently hosts an active operational footprint, the facility is undergoing a major multi-phase expansion to scale up to its fully secured grid-allocated capacity. As part of this infrastructure build-out, two dedicated power substations are targeted for completion by the end of 2026. Following recent local zoning board approvals, the modernized brownfield facility is being outfitted to support advanced NVIDIA Vera Rubin hardware.
