A 100MW data center is being proposed in Allentown, Pennsylvania. J.G. Petrucci has submitted plans for a 146,000 sq ft (13,565 sqm) facility and on-site substation at 1024 N. Bradford Street. Construction could begin in early 2027, with the facility potentially operational later that year. The site was previously approved for an industrial development known as the Allentown Flex Center.

Founded in 1987, J.G. Petrucci is a private developer and property manager with more than 7 million sq ft (650,000 sqm) of commercial, industrial, and residential space across the Northeast. The company did not comment on the data center proposal. Elsewhere in Allentown, Quantum Group plans to convert a vacant 250,000 sq ft (23,000 sqm) warehouse into a data center.

A September 2025 DC Byte report highlighted rapid growth in Pennsylvania’s data center market, with planned IT load rising from 231MW in 2021 to 7.8GW in 2025. However, the market now faces tighter regulation after Governor Josh Shapiro signed an executive order imposing new requirements on data center developments.allentown.width-358.png
