TierPoint to expand data center footprint in St. Louis, Missouri

The proposed Harper Road Technology Park by Diode Ventures, a $1.5 billion data center project planned for 508 acres in Peculiar, Missouri, was ultimately blocked by local authorities in October 2024. The conceptual plan included seven buildings, each approximately 300,000 square feet.
The project faced significant grassroots opposition from the group "Don’t Dump Data in Peculiar," which raised major concerns over the visual impact, noise pollution, and potential negative effects on local property values. In response to this community pushback, the Peculiar Planning Commission Board passed an ordinance to remove data centers from the city's zoning code, effectively preventing the development from moving forward.
