Digital Edge, an Asia Pacific data center platform formed by Stonepeak in 2020, agreed to acquire a plot of freehold industrial land in the Bandar Cemerlang Industrial Park in Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia, through a local subsidiary. The land was purchased from a subsidiary of Malaysian property developer Crescendo Corporation under a conditional sale and purchase agreement signed in April 2026, and the parcel is legally designated for data center use. Completion is targeted for the second half of 2027 and remains subject to several conditions, including state consent for the foreign acquisition, planning and data center task force approvals, and confirmation of power arrangements with the national utility. Under the agreement, the seller is responsible for delivering site infrastructure, fibre routes, water allocation, and access roads under staged deadlines.
