Brookfield-owned DCI Data Centers has submitted a planning application to construct a 5,826 sqm (62,710 sq ft) data center within the Poplars Innovation Precinct in Jerrabomberra. Initially announced in 2022 as a 20MW facility with a target operational date of 2024, the new facility is planned to incorporate sustainable features like 50kW solar panels and rainwater harvesting for on-site water recovery, alongside the planned use of diesel backup generators.
