In response to heavy community pushback, DC Blox scaled back its plans for an Indianapolis east side data center to a two-building layout totaling 320,000 square feet, eliminating 25 proposed diesel generators and expanding the buffer zone south of the Pennsy Trail.

The developer originally proposed a $2 billion, 420,000-square-foot campus featuring three buildings and up to 56 backup diesel generators. The revised project will now be built in two phases—starting with a single-story 70,000-square-foot building expected within two years, followed by a two-story 250,000-square-foot building targeted for completion in roughly five years.
