Due to local opposition, Surge Development has withdrawn its proposal to rezone land in Indiana for a new data center.

Previously, Surge Development planned to build a large data center campus spanning 775 acres in Hancock County, Indiana. The proposed Hancock County MegaSite Planned Unit Development District, intended for data centers and industrial use, is situated in Buck Creek Township, approximately 15 miles east of downtown Indianapolis and directly east of the Indianapolis Regional Airport.
