DC BLOX

DC BLOX is a digital infrastructure provider in the Southeastern United States. The company provides colocation, network connectivity and dark fiber services for enterprises and carriers, and operates a cable landing station in South Carolina with a second station planned in Florida.

It is developing hyperscale data center campuses in the Atlanta metro area. In 2025 the company announced additional subsea capacity and secured project financing to advance Atlanta West.

History:

  • 2025-08: Secured a $1.15 billion green loan to develop the Atlanta West data center campus in Douglas County, Georgia.
  • 2025-07: Announced a second subsea cable landing station campus in Palm Coast, Florida, expected to be operational by Q1 2027.
  • 2022-05: Acquired Southeastern fiber assets from Light Source Communications and Ascendant Capital Fiber.

DC BLOX Locations

DC BLOX is planning a hyperscale-ready data center campus in Berkeley County, South Carolina, referred to as Charleston North and located on 64.5 Acres in the new Camp Hall Industrial Park.

This data center building is a part of DC Blox ATL West Campus in Atlanta, Georgia. Building C is due for delivery in early 2029.

The DC BLOX data center is built on the 27-acre, former Trinity Steel site in downtown Birmingham. The first phase which was built in 2019 has 31,000 sqft of space.

DC Blox is planning to build another data center in Huntsville, Alabama. The center is described as hyperscale edge node sites, which is built to satisfy large scale data needs.

DC Blox is developing a Edge data centers in North Augusta, South Carolina. The center is described as hyperscale edge node sites, which is built to satisfy large scale data needs.

This data center building is a part of DC Blox ATL West Campus in Atlanta, Georgia. Building B is due for delivery in early 2028.

DC Blox made history in South Carolina in October 2023 with the launch of its first Cable Landing Station (CLS) in the state, located at Myrtle Beach.

DC Blox is proceeding with an expansion of its international network infrastructure at its existing Cable Landing Station (CLS) campus in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

DC Blox is moving forward with a revised plan for its data center on the former Azalea Flea Market site. The project was scaled back from an initial $500 million proposal to a single, 65,000-square-foot facility.
