Cyxtera Technologies was a data center operator formed in 2017 when funds advised by BC Partners and Medina Capital acquired CenturyLink’s data centers and colocation business and combined it with Medina Capital’s security and analytics portfolio.
Cyxtera Technologies History:
- April 2024: Rebranded from Cyxtera Technologies to Centersquare together with Evoque.
- November 2023: Entered an asset purchase agreement for Brookfield affiliates to acquire substantially all assets, including related real estate transactions.
- June 2023: Filed for Chapter 11 to implement a restructuring support agreement and obtain debtor-in-possession financing.
- February 2021: Agreed to merge with Starboard Value Acquisition Corp. to become a publicly traded company.
