Centersquare is a colocation and interconnection provider formed in 2024 when Brookfield Infrastructure combined Evoque Data Center Solutions and the acquired assets of Cyxtera Technologies.
Centersquare History:
- April 2024: Rebranded from Evoque and Cyxtera to Centersquare.
- January 2024: Founded as Centersquare when Evoque closed the acquisition of Cyxtera’s data center portfolio to create a combined platform.
Evoque Data Center Solutions History:
Evoque Data Center Solutions is a data center operator created in 2019 after Brookfield Infrastructure Partners acquired AT&T’s colocation assets.
- April 2024: Rebranded from Evoque Data Center Solutions and Cyxtera to Centersquare.
- 2024: Closed acquisition of Cyxtera’s data center portfolio.
- 2022: Exited international data centers to concentrate on U.S. sites.
- 2019: Launched following Brookfield Infrastructure Partners’ acquisition of AT&T’s colocation assets.
Cyxtera:
Cyxtera Technologies was a data center operator formed in 2017 when funds advised by BC Partners and Medina Capital acquired CenturyLink’s data centers and colocation business and combined it with Medina Capital’s security and analytics portfolio.
Cyxtera Technologies History:
- April 2024: Rebranded from Cyxtera Technologies to Centersquare together with Evoque.
- November 2023: Entered an asset purchase agreement for Brookfield affiliates to acquire substantially all assets, including related real estate transactions.
- June 2023: Filed for Chapter 11 to implement a restructuring support agreement and obtain debtor-in-possession financing.
- February 2021: Agreed to merge with Starboard Value Acquisition Corp. to become a publicly traded company.
- May 2017: Launched following the sale of CenturyLink’s data centers and colocation business to a consortium led by BC Partners and Medina Capital, combined with Medina Capital’s security and analytics portfolio.

The single-story Centersquare data center in Allen is part of Millennium high technology park in Allen, TX.
Centersquare: St Louis SL1
This facility was previously operated by Cyxtera. Centersquare completed the successful acquisition of Cyxtera and Evoque Data Center Solutions in early 2024.
Centersquare: Dallas DFW3
The Centersquare Dallas portfolio consists of three data centers located in Fort Worth, Allen and Dallas providing close proximity to business hubs in downtown Dallas, Plano and Fort Worth.

Centersquare’s Hawthorne facility is a massive data center with more than 288,000 Total square feet, located less than 6 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), with easy access from downtown Los Angeles.

Centersquare's cloud-enabled Watertown data center is located close to the center of Boston, and only 10 miles from Boston Logan International Airport. The facility was originally built in 2002 and then expanded in 2008 to add space, power, and cooling capacity.
