With processor power consumption exceeding 200W and some reaching 400W, traditional air-cooled datacenters struggle to manage heat effectively. GPU units often operate above 300W, and the trend shows no signs of slowing.
Azur Datacenter has already implemented next-generation cooling solutions, such as a Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) high-performance computing cluster reaching 72kW/rack for a client in March 2021. They anticipate rack power density to double every seven years, with projections of over 70kW per rack by 2022.
