The world's first Data Energy Center® (DEC001) was launched in 2023 by Swedish company T.Loop in Stockholm. This innovative Edge data center is located in the Factory, a prominent real estate landmark in the Häggvik area of Sollentuna, north of the Swedish capital. T.Loop, previously known as Therma Loop, chose this location for its debut facility, marking a significant milestone in sustainable data center design.

  • Developed by technology investor Wellstreet, the Factory is a 14,200 sqm multi-story glass office space designed to host startups.
  • Built in 2002, the huge building was launched as the ABB Business Center. The second tenant was TDC, later was acquired by Tele 2. Real estate company Centria bought the building in 2015. The Factory – now owned by CapMan Real Estate – launched in 2019.
