Stockholm: Conapto Developing a 24MW Facility in Stockholm, Sweden

Data center firm Conapto has announced that it has broken ground on a new data center in Stockholm, Sweden. The Sweden data center company partnered with real estate firm Fastpartner to develop a 107,650 square feet (10,000 square meters) facility in Southern Stockholm. Upon full development, the facility named Stockholm 4 will support an 86,100 square feet (8,000 square meters) data center and 24MW of power. Phase 1 of Stockholm 4 will be a two-story data center of 43,000 square feet (4,000 square meters). It is scheduled to come online in October 2023.
The CEO of Conapto, Håkan Björklund, said: “A milestone in Conapto’s history where we continue to develop our offering around sustainable, secure and flexible colocation in Stockholm. With this expansion, we can offer one of the largest data center campuses on the south side with a total capacity of 24MW and 10,000 sqm of data center space. Add our focus to 10 percent renewable energy, heat recovery to district heating network, and high security with protection class 3, and we have a very attractive offer for both Swedish and international companies that need data center capacity in Stockholm.”
According to Conapto, the data center will be powered with 100 percent renewable energy. The company will match and connect its data center with district heating networks.
