The Perry Township Data Center is a planned multi building campus situated on a 100 acre site in Stark County, Ohio, developed by Panattoni Development Company. The project features four 35 foot tall buildings totaling 756,000 square feet, with the first phase targeted to become operational in April 2028.
While foundational milestones are firmly locked in, including heavy industrial zoning, a 30 year county tax abatement, and grid upgrade commitments from AEP Ohio, the project is currently navigating an administrative bottleneck. The City of Canton and Perry Township are locked in an active Joint Economic Development District (JEDD) dispute regarding a 50 year anti annexation clause and tax splits, temporarily freezing the final commercial water utility allocations needed for the facility's cooling systems.
