Year Built: 2026
Lot Size: 400 acres

Following a wave of local opposition and a recommendation for denial by planning officials, developer HHHunt has officially withdrawn its application for the Hunting Hawk Technology Park in Hanover County. This 400-acre project, which proposed 10 buildings totaling 3.9 million square feet (362,320 sqm), represented a failed pivot for the site after a 2019 court battle over a connector road derailed previous plans for a 55-and-older residential community.

While the developer sought to rezone the land from agricultural to limited industrial use to accommodate the massive data center campus, the proposal was ultimately scrapped in January 2026 due to concerns over its impact on the area's rural character and inconsistency with the county’s long-term land-use plans.
