Digital Realty wants to rezone 156 acres to build a new data center campus, allowing for up to 3 million square feet of telecommunications and data storage space. Plans suggest two two-story buildings, with proposed sizes of 570,880 sq ft per floor for Building 1 and 785,480 sq ft per floor for Building 2.
In 2024, Digital Realty purchased approximately 156 acres in Charlotte for $160 million.
