This $82 million dollar National Data Center was originally built by Time Warner Cable and is a 178,000 square foot facility that includes 1,600 racks of technical equipment and four 12,000 square foot data halls. The second facility is a four-story, 103,500 square foot administrative office building. In support of TWC’s green initiative, both buildings will seek Silver LEED certification.
- Mechanical plant consists of six 300 ton York Air-Cooled Chillers on Day 1. At ultimate build there will be 14 of the 300 ton chillers, providing enough capacity to cool over 2,000 homes
- The generator plant consists of four 500 KW Generators with ultimate design of eight 2500 kW generators or enough power for over 10,000 homes.
- One of the four generator assemblies weighs 253,000 pounds which is slightly less than its 256,000 pound foundation
- There is the equivalent of 6,336,000 AA batteries on site.
- There are 26,000 linear feet of precast concrete members, which if placed end to end would span roughly five miles
- There are 20,023 linear feet of micropiles which equates to 655,000 pounds or the weight of twelve diesel engine generators
- The chilled water system holds 87,279 gallons which is equal to ten large tanker trunks
- There is 20,000 linear feet of caulking on the curtain wall system
- There are roughly 2.5 miles of mechanical and plumbing piping which could span around the campus three times.
- There were 12,900 yards of concrete poured for the project which equates to 50 miles of a 4’ sidewalk
- There were 219,000 linear feet of conduit installed of which 132,000 feet is underground.
- There were 1,316,000 linear feet of wiring
