Markham Real Estate Partners has submitted plans to the New South Wales government for a new data center in Alexandria, Sydney. The proposal involves demolishing the current structure and erecting a three-to-five-story mixed-use building. This new development will feature a loading dock and commercial space on the ground floor, with the upper levels dedicated to a 20,970 square meter (225,720 sq ft) data center.
The 7,435 square meter (80,030 sq ft) site, which Markham acquired in early 2019, currently houses a two-story building with parking. It's occupied by Mercedes Benz and operates as an autobody paint and repair center.
