Google has officially backed out of its plans for the Northlake Logistics Park in Denton County, marking a strategic shift away from the previously leased 1-million-square-foot facility. Although the project was originally registered as Project Beast (Buildings 1 and 2) with an estimated $20.2 million investment and an expected completion date in 2026, the lease has since been terminated.

This decision allows Google to pivot its infrastructure focus toward expanding its primary, purpose-built campuses in Midlothian and Red Oak, as well as its newly announced "AI-ready" data center hubs in West Texas and the Panhandle.
