Salford City Council has approved a £250m data center at Peel Waters’ Halo West site in Eccles, Salford, northwest of Manchester. Digital Land & Development Ltd (DLD Salford) Ltd will demolish existing structures on the 2.57-hectare former White’s Reclamation Site on Liverpool Road, currently used for vehicle sales, storage, and offices, to build a single data center.

The facility will include 11,732 sq. ft of offices, a 54,575 sq. ft data hall, and 63,500 sq. ft of plant. The brownfield site, bordering a residential area, also contains small-scale industrial buildings and two homes, all set for demolition.
