Alibaba Launches Data Center in Seoul, South Korea

Global investment firm Warburg Pincus, in partnership with South Korean data center developer DC Connects and Wide Creek AMC, has officially begun construction on a new data center outside Seoul, South Korea, in Yongin City.
The facility, named Seoul01, will cover 58,000 sqm (624,305 sq ft) and is slated for completion by 2027. The data center will feature two buildings, each with six data halls and two meet-me rooms. It is designed to support high-density workloads, utilizing a combination of air- and liquid-cooling systems (fan walls and CDUs) to accommodate capacities between $60kW$ and $200kW$.
