AVAIO: Project Andromeda

Lot Size: 146 acres

AVAIO Digital proposed Project Andromeda, a $5.5 billion, four-building campus of about 1.2 million square feet on 146 acres in Oxford Township, south of Sandusky. The land lies on Mason Road across from the Army Reserve Center and the NASA entrance, next to the Ohio Turnpike. The township's zoning bars data centers, and trustees said the project is not in the community's interest. AVAIO has said it plans to revisit the proposal.

Site History

  • August 2026: Trustees tabled the project.
  • July 2026: AVAIO presented the plan at a town hall (Stay Tuned Sandusky).
  • March 2026: Oxford Township adopted a 12-month data center moratorium.
