June 8, 2026: Applied Digital announces a 15-year lease with a U.S. investment-grade hyperscaler for Delta Forge 2, in an undisclosed southern state.
June-July 2026: Applied Digital affiliate APLD BHM-01 LLC acquires roughly 1,300 acres along Brookwood Parkway and George Newell Road.
July 20, 2026: The Alabama Department of Environmental Management approves the construction stormwater permit for "Brookwood, AL Industrial," covering about 137 acres of land disturbance.
September 24, 2026: Applied Digital confirms Brookwood as the Delta Forge 2 site. The Tuscaloosa County Economic Development Authority approves a 20-year tax abatement and $270 million in community benefit payments.
October 1, 2026: Construction is scheduled to begin.
