STT GDC Secures $1.37bn Funding for 166MW Malaysia Data Center
APAC data center operator ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) has secured up to $1.37 billion in financing for its 166MW STT Johor campus in Malaysia, spanning 22 acres and expected to provide 16MW of IT capacity in the first phase.
Helios Plans 80-Hectare Data Center Site in Finland
Swedish energy company Helios Nordic Energy is planning a data center project in the Alapitkä area of Lapinlahti, central Finland, covering more than 80 hectares near Fingrid’s Alapitkä substation and could support up to 500MW of capacity after being previously approved for an 80–100MW data center development.
Digital Core REIT Sells Three US Data Center Stakes, Expands in Asia
Digital Core REIT is selling stakes in three North American data centers to Digital Realty for about $316 million and using the proceeds to expand in Asia. It will acquire stakes in two facilities in Singapore and Osaka for about $176 million, while using around $117 million to repay debt and up to $20 million for unit buybacks.
Malaysian Property Giant Sells 36-Acre Cyberjaya Site for Data Center Development
A subsidiary of Malaysian property giant Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) is selling a 36-acre land parcel in Cyberjaya for potential data center development. MRCB said it signed a conditional sale and purchase agreement with Digital Cosmos on August 7 to sell seven land parcels for RM419 million ($102 million).
Data Center of Up to 50,000 Sqm Approved for Construction in West London, UK
A data center of up to 50,000 square meters has been approved for construction at the Haslemere Heathrow Estate in west London, with the local council already approving plans for three data center buildings on the site of the existing industrial estate, expected to require 64MW of power and provide 48MW of IT capacity.
