APAC data center operator ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) has secured up to $1.37 billion in green financing for its 166MW STT Johor campus in Malaysia. The funding will support the first phase, which will provide 16MW of IT capacity and is expected to be completed by 2027. STT GDC began construction in February 2025 after announcing plans for the Johor campus in 2023 and acquiring the land from Crescendo Corp.

The campus will span 22 acres in Nusa Cemerlang Industrial Park in Iskandar Puteri, southern Johor. STT GDC was established as the data center arm of Singaporean investment firm ST Telemedia. KKR and Singtel acquired the company in February 2026.

The company operates across Singapore, India, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, and South Korea. In Europe, it operates in the UK, Italy, and Germany through Virtus Data Centres. STT GDC previously provided services in mainland China through GDS, in which it holds a stake.STT_Johor_1_visualization.width-358.png
