Google Reveals It Is Behind 506-Acre Project Clydesdale Data Center In Oklahoma
Google has confirmed it is behind the Project Clydesdale data center campus near Tulsa, Oklahoma, a 506-acre campus which will be developed in multiple phases, each covering around 200,000 sq ft and requiring up to $1bn in investment.
Nvidia to Back 4.25GW of OpenAI Data Center in Ohio
Nvidia has confirmed that it will financially support SoftBank’s data center project at the Portsmouth Site in Ohio, expected to be fully leased to OpenAI and eventually reach 10GW, potentially making it the world’s largest data center. Nvidia will initially support 4.25GW of capacity and is considering a $120 billion backstop for the project.
STT GDC sells stake in Gigawatt Scale Data Center
Vietnamese telecoms firm VNG is set to acquire ST Telemedia Global Data Centres’ (STT GDC) 65 percent stake in a planned data center project in Ho Chi Minh City, paying VND480 billion ($18.3m) for full control of VTH Software Development, which owns the 25,465 sqm (274,100 sq ft) site planned for the facility.
BBT Group Launches Data Center At Hospital In Bad Mergentheim, Germany
The Barmherzige Brüder Trier (BBT) Group has opened a new 78kW data center at Caritas Hospital in Bad Mergentheim, Germany, with an investment €3.6m ($4.1m) in the facility expected to support the digital and AI needs of Caritas, as well as other regional hospitals and elderly care facilities.
Helios plans Data center Development on 860 Hectares in Finnish Lapland
Nordic energy company Helios is planning a gigawatts scale data center project in Finnish Lapland. The company has submitted a zoning request for a proposed facility in the Koivu area of Tervola, covering around 860 hectares, just about 20km (12.4 miles) from Tervola’s municipal center.
