The former location of an ADP office and data center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is up for auction. Outside of Ann Arbor, Colliers and Ten-X are selling the A2 West Technical Center in Scio Township. The auction is scheduled to begin at the midpoint of October with an opening bid of $1.6 million. On 5.74 acres at 175-217 Jackson Plaza, a vacant site with two connected buildings comprising 109,324 square feet is available.

The site, initially constructed in the late 1970s, is described as a "rare opportunity to revitalize an infrastructure-heavy light industrial/research facility." Prior to being acquired by Eyde Co. in a sale-leaseback transaction, the site was owned and operated by payroll and HR company Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP).

The building has a "heavy electrical infrastructure with three-phase 480-volt power and an on-site 2000 and 4000kVA transformer," according to the listing. “In particular, the 480-volt power is very valuable and sought after by tech sectors, including electric vehicle development and testing, as well as life sciences and biotech organizations.”

The majority of the two-story office section has been demolished, providing the next tenant with "an open canvas" to create a unique work environment, while the northern section features extensive light industrial and R&D infrastructure.

The real estate company stated that the property could be utilized as an office, R&D facility, or climate-controlled self-storage facility.
