A data center outside of Detroit, Michigan, is available for purchase. Lee & Associates, a real estate agency, has listed 21420 Melrose in Southfield, Oakland County, as available. The 1986-built, 15,956-square-foot property is available for $1.34m.

“This building is extremely well maintained and ready for occupancy. [The] seller will decommission the data center and deliver in white box condition. No equipment is included in the sale,” the listing states. But, according to the sales literature, "All infrastructure is negotiable."

Since at least 2008, the data center has been inhabited by hosting provider ServOnDemand. It is unknown when the company left the property. The website of ServOnDemand is no longer operational. A WaybackMachine archive reveals that the company offered managed, collocated, committed, and virtual server services from the privately owned, Tier III-rated data center.

The website was last scanned in January 2020. The company stated at the time that the facility had "dozens of lit fiber carriers," including AT&T, XO, Cavalier, Verizon, Level-3, US Signal, Comcast, Paetec, Light Tower, Crown Castle, Windstream, Cogent, Rocket Fiber, and 123.net.
