Malaysian data center developer Cahya Suria Services and Chinese tech firm Suzhou EnnoThing Technology have teamed up to develop a digital park in Perak, Malaysia. The project, known as the NexQuantum AI Digital Park, will be developed through a joint venture called NexQuantum 1 and is valued at approximately RM1 billion ($253 million).

The park’s flagship project will be a 32MW data center known as NQ1, with plans for seven additional facilities, according to the New Straits Times. Further details on the size, capacity, timelines, and exact location of the proposed data centers have not been disclosed. Perak is located in northwestern Peninsular Malaysia.

Cahya Suria Services says it specializes in developing high-performance data center infrastructure, although it is unclear whether the company has previously delivered any data center projects. Before 2021, the company operated as Renosun International, which focused on solar panel systems.
