Open DC is collaborating with the Malaysian government to construct a new data center in northern Malaysia. The Open DC D8-1 Datacentre is located in the Delapan Special Border Economic Zone (SBEZ) – a State-owned industrial park situated at the District of Bukit Kayu Hitam, at the border of Malaysia and Thailand.
The facility is being built to meet Tier III standards. Additionally, DE-CIX Malaysia will establish an Internet Exchange (IX) point within the data center to enhance regional network connectivity and traffic exchange capabilities.
