Windstream Enterprise was founded in 2004 and is based in Little Rock, Arkansas. It operates an advanced nationwide network with over 170,000 fiber route miles and a proprietary, scalable Cloud Core architecture. Its services include managed SD-WAN (including SD-WAN Concierge), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions, cloud on-ramps, unified communications (OfficeSuite UC), security and compliance tools, voice and communication offerings, and cloud connectivity.

Windstream's Brookfield colocation data center, formerly nGenX, occupies about 6,000 sq ft in the Pinnacle at Bishop's Woods office campus at 13935 Bishops Drive in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Uniti, which merged with Windstream in 2025, markets the site as Uniti Brookfield.
