NorthC Datacenters

The NorthC Amsterdam 2 data center was added to the NorthC portfolio following its acquisition from Colt Technology Services in late 2025.

The site was formerly operated by KPN

European operator NorthC has announced plans to break ground on its sixth Swiss data center in the first quarter of 2026.

The facility officially launched as TDCG Utrecht in 2015. Following the merger of The Datacenter Group (TDCG) and NLDC in July 2019, the combined companies rebranded to operate under the unified name NorthC.

The Aalsmeer data center is part of a unique project for the exchange of residual heat.

Groningen 1 is NorthC's original Westpoort building, built in 2013 as KPN's ODC Noord government data center and acquired with KPN's NLDC business in 2019.

Zestienhoven 1 is the original NorthC building on the Rotterdam Zestienhoven campus: a 3,000 m² data center at Tempelhof 5 with 1,600 m² of data floor, 2N generators and direct-air cooling.

The NorthC Frankfurt 3 data center is a strategic colocation facility situated in the heart of Frankfurt's digital district.

The NorthC Munich II facility, located in Wamslerstrasse, officially joined the NorthC portfolio in September 2025.

NorthC Berlin 2 is a strategically positioned data center that serves as a vital connectivity hub in the German capital.

Initially established by Level 3 Communications, the facility transitioned through the ownership of CenturyLink and Lumen Technologies before being acquired by Colt Technology Services.

In September 2025, NorthC Datacenters officially completed the acquisition of this facility from Colt Technology Services.

Zestienhoven 2 is NorthC's modular building at Hatostraat 58, built by Kuijpers in 2021 against the original Zestienhoven 1, with 3,000 m² of data floor fitted out as demand grows.

The site is a former NLDC facility that was acquired in the merger between The Datacenter Group (TDCG) and NLDC.

European data center firm NorthC has launched it's second facility in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

In 2021, the NorthC Group acquired the IP Exchange data centers in Munich and Nuremberg.

NorthC Frankfurt 1 is a newly operational data center located in western Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Opened in Q2 2026, the facility expands NorthC’s presence in the Rhine-Main region and supports growing demand for colocation, cloud, connectivity, and AI infrastructure services.

In Berlin, NorthC is developing a new facility through a redevelopment project, with an expected opening in 2026.

Groningen 2 is NorthC's 2022 extension beside Groningen 1 on Liverpoolweg, the first data center in Europe with a green-hydrogen fuel cell for backup power.

NorthC has acquired a development site in Neu-Isenburg, south of Frankfurt, for its planned Frankfurt 2 data center. The facility is being developed as a modular, AI-ready colocation site with first availability targeted for January 2027.

In 2021, the NorthC Group acquired the IP Exchange data centers in Munich and Nuremberg.
