Chicago-based Wylie Capital plans to develop a 1.2 million square foot data center at Broadway in Merrillville that could result in $600 million in investment and up to 200 mostly six-figure jobs. The development could see up to six buildings, each up to three stories tall, developed.

The Merrillville Data Advisory Center gave preliminary approval to the development in October 2024. The first phase would see two buildings developed.
