T5 Data Centers is developing a new data center campus in Grayslake, Illinois, about 40 miles northwest of Chicago. T5 plans to build four to six data centers on the site near Peterson Road and Route 83, which is part of a 641-acre business park named Cornerstone of Grayslake owned by Alter Group.

T5 paid $29.4 million for 134 acres and has an option on another 45 acres. The site’s location is perfectly positioned between major data centre hubs of the northern Chicago suburbs and southeastern Wisconsin, which provides an ideal connection point.
The first building is set to come online in Q4 2027.
